So, by roasting and serving Rwandan coffee, Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee House can provide “fairly traded” and organic coffee to their consumers while healing and transforming Rwanda. How? For every product sold at the coffee house, roughly 30% of the profit goes straight back to Rwanda. Two-thirds of that goes to the growers, which is higher than fair trade, hence the “fairly traded”. It has been chosen "Best Bar in Atlanta" by Atlanta Magazine, and "Best Neighborhood Bar" by Creative Loafing. But it might be easier to say what Manuel's Tavern isn't, rather than what it is. Manuel's isn't a "brass and fern" bar. Neither is it a place of anonymous bartenders and nameless, faceless customers.
